Chocolate Rough Slice

Chocolate Rough Slice is another recipe from my childhood and now part of my girls childhood. The crunchy biscuit base and soft sweet coconut topping is delicious. This slice is great with your morning tea afternoon treat for the kids.

  • 1 Tbs Cocoa
  • 30 Grams Buttter
  • 1 Cup Sifted Icing Sugar
  • 1 Cup Coconut
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla
  1. Pre-heat oven fan forced 160’C. Grease and line 20cm x 30cm tin.

  2. Sift self-raising flour into bowl.

  3. Add sugar and coconut, mix.

  4. Stir in melted butter and mix well.

  5. Place mix into tin evenly. Bake for 25min.

  6. Make topping. Place all ingredients into bowl and mix well.

  7. Once biscuit base comes out of oven allow to cool slightly and spread topping on top. It is easier to spread topping when base is still warm.
